The Institute of English Studies exists to promote advanced study and research in English Studies in the wider national and international academic community, and to provide a centre for excellence in English Language, literature, palaeography and the history of the book.

Donations made through this form will be directed towards the IES Sambrook Appeal. This appeal, in honour of the life and work of Keith Sambrook, aims to raise vital funds in support of the next generation of IES students and scholars. This support allows us to attract the best and brightest students to the Institute, regardless of their personal or financial circumstances and is a crucial step in promoting equality, diversity and inclusion at the Institute. Our Donor Charter describes what the University of London Alumni and Supporters website pages can do for you, and what we kindly request of you in return.

Online Giving
Our website processes donations for the University of London, including all its central academic bodies and functions. To process these gifts, the University pays a small transaction fee on the donation. We cover this fee from the University's central budget, meaning that the full amount of your donation will go to support the University, or the department or Institute to which you have donated.
