The Gradute Outcomes Survey
What is the Graduate Outcomes Survey?
The Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS) is a national survey capturing information about the perspectives and activities of graduates 15 months after you complete your studies. Graduate Outcomes has replaced the previous Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education survey (DLHE).
The survey looks to understand whether you’re in employment, have continued with further study or are doing something else. It will also ask how your degree helped prepare you for your current role.
This survey is conducted on behalf of the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), and involves an online or telephone questionnaire which will ask whether you are working, studying, travelling or undertaking another activity. It will also ask how your degree helped prepare you for your current role.
Why does the survey matter?
As a SAS graduate, your response to this survey is very important, as it will:
- Help current and future students gain an insight into career destinations and development
- Contribute to the positioning of SAS and UoL in league tables
- Empower higher education providers, policy makers, charities, journalists, researchers and others, to understand the higher education sector and current trends within the graduate jobs market
How and when will I be contacted?
Graduates will be grouped across the year into four cohorts based on the end date of your course. You will receive an email inviting you to complete the survey online, approximately 15 months after completing your studies. This email will be sent from HESA on behalf of the University of London (UniversityofLondon@graduateoutcomes.ac.uk). You may also be contacted by telephone and asked to complete the survey over the phone.
The table below shows when you'll be surveyed:
