Annual Lecture 2019 with Dr Karen Attar -

"Unsung Powers: Women who shaped Senate House Library"

Thursday 24 January 2019, 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Court Room, Senate House

Join the Friends of Senate House Library for our 2019 Lecture, "Unsung Powers: Women who shaped Senate House Library"

In our 2019 Lecture, Dr Karen Attar, Curator of Rare Books and University Art at Senate House Library, will tell the stories of some women who were significant for Senate House Library.

This lecture follows on from the University of London’s year-long celebration of leading women. Women have been connected with libraries for many years, but their importance and impact are not always obvious, such as the intimidating Muriel Quinn and the generous Edith, Lady Durning-Lawrence.

This event is free to attend and will start with a short Annual General Meeting.
