Vice-Chancellor Professor Wendy Thomson CBE shares message of support with the UoL community
In conversation with Bill Abraham, Director of Development, Vice-Chancellor Professor Wendy Thomson CBE has recorded a personal video message to the UoL alumni community. In the video, the Vice-Chancellor reflects on leadership, her first year in post and shares her vision for the University’s future, focussing on the increased importance of distance and flexible learning in providing access to education.
We thank you for watching.
How you can help
In response to enquiries from our current students experiencing financial hardship, the University is raising and distributing emergency funds to support our most vulnerable students. This support will allow students to continue their studies, by providing bursaries of up to £500 for those who have been most disadvantaged by the current global pandemic and who are at risk of being forced to abandon their studies, simply because they can no longer afford the cost of their fees.
We recognise not all our alumni may be able to give. In the coming weeks, we will be asking your to share our message with your networks and encourage those who can to support current University of London students in their time of hardship.
